The story revolves around Takemoto Takeru who lives with his aunt and uncle and their young daughter Mari. Takeru was abandoned by his parents when he was very young and has emotional scars, which he keeps buried within himself. His friend Ryou, who lives alone with his younger sister Kimi has a similar situation in his past and is Takeru's close friend. In school, the two occupy opposite ends of the "popularity scale", with Ryou being popular amongst the girls, where Takeru, well, isn't so popular. Two girls who follow Ryou around are Amika and Sakurako, making up the story's main group of five characters.

Stolen Treasure is a book almost 70 years in the writing! Written over the decades since 1946, this collection of observations, quotes, proverbs, witticisms and rules for living have guided the author since his youth growing up in India, through his time in the Indian Navy, and for the bulk of his life since moving to Ireland in 1960. Now in his mid-80s, the author presents a lifetime of humour and words of wisdom for a happy life in this book. A true treasure collection of one-line gems and snip-bits of life’s experiences, the book presents an insight into the observations of life over the author’s lifetime that so many of us experience but never document. At first, observations from an idealistic young man are presented. This is followed by wisdom learned in early adulthood and gathered as an Officer with the Indian Navy. The observations continue from a happy lifetime in Ireland with a large focus on what the author learned about life as a husband and father, as well as engineer and lecturer, to retiree. These have been collected over the years as the author has experienced them in life or overheard them in social occasions, and carefully recorded by hand. In the decades before the internet and social media, these were the original status updates that tell a story of how life and perception of what matters has changed over almost 70 years. An intriguing read for every person of all ages and all interests.

Over 70 authors and veterans share the sacrifices so many of America's veterans have made, in peacetime and in war, throughout the 20th century. You'll read about Duty, Honor, Courage - from the testing of a submarine, to the loss of the Space Shuttle Challenger, to the everyday sacrifice of men and women in uniform, whether serving during peace or war. You'll walk bloodied beaches, soar over enemy turf, pray, crawl in and out of caves, tend the wounded, shoot and be shot at, feel your heart race with fright as flak comes at you from every direction...walk the deck...hit the deck...feel the heat as fire dances across the deck, into the cockpit and into the foxhole you occupy. Your heart will constrict as the man in front of you takes the bullet meant for you. You'll know the painful bite of shrapnel, the gnawing ache hunger brings and red-hot anger as a comrade falls. But most of all, you'll experience total, unabridged fear as you watch the enemy advance through the eyes of the author, and a swelling of pride as you meet America's veterans.

"This life is a gift from God. He gave us life everlasting to fulfill our calling. No one has the authority to tell us on how to live our life. Live your life from your heart and pay attention to your intuition. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, fall on your face, or look foolish in front of people. We are here to be the best we can be with what we have. Don't give up on yourself so soon. As we mature into who we are becoming... The change will be everlasting. Give yourself permission to finish your goals. The main thing is to never give up on yourself. Once we do that, life gives up on us. I hope that my story will help you see your life differently. This path was not easy for me to walk and share my deepest secret with you. I am thankful that my journey was not in vain, as I now pass the baton to you so you can run and win your race. With my deepest gratitude and love for humanity I wish you abundant blessings. May you start your journey today to awaken to the brand new you Namaste." --Luis Soto Jr., Transformational Life Coach

ALONE WITH NOTHING You took my gifts and trampled them in the ground You stole my knowledge and used it for yourself You seized my dreams and left me dreamless You played My songs and made them your own compositions You read my unpublished books and put your name on them You sucked up my love and didn't bother to look back Then you laughed in my face and walked away You took everything that was most precious to me Now, I am left alone with nothing When I was a little girl, my blind grandma, Sallie. and I used to sit on the front porch swing, swinging for hours at a time. She taught me songs and stores. Also, she would recite to me, what she called, "Memory Gems"! One of my favorite that has been impressed on my mind all of these years is: "Standing at the bottom, gazing at the top How do you ever expect get up there? If you never try!" Well, it has been a long time coming; but because of the inspiration I received from my Grandma Sallie many years ago, I am presenting to you a few "Memory Gems" of my own - Poetry & Etcetera - Enjoy!
