Marriage is God's idea. He has no bad ideas. He brought Eve to Adam, married them and they lived as husband and wife for over 900 years (Genesis 2:21-25 and 5:5). By this, we can conclude that divorce was not God's idea but Satan's idea, to destroy God's ideas, plans and purpose of marriage between a man and a woman. We seek to find the right person when the greater picture is to be the right person. Man sets the time for the wedding, but God sets the time for the marriage. There is a great difference between a wedding and a marriage. Many walk down the aisle to be wedded for all the wrong reasons. Saying "I do" and placing wedding rings upon fingers does not always mean they are married within their hearts. This book reveals that a man and a woman may marry, and yet not be a true husband and wife. It stresses the importance of friendship, courtship, engagement and being married from the heart. Introducing a revolutionary approach to the covenant of marriage, this book addresses commitment, romance, love, keeping a right heart, a sound mind and a pure relationship. Dr. Donald R. Downing is a heart physician and specialist from God to the body of Christ. He has written over 12 books, and considers Marriage from the Heart to be one of his most important writings. He believes the only way to defeat the high rate of divorce and separation is to restore romance to the relationship and to be truly married from the heart. FEATURING DRS. In the autumn of 2006, Yu Dan, a professor of media studies at Beijing Normal University, gave a series of lectures entitled "Yu Dan's Insights into the Analects" which was broadcast for seven days on China Central Television. Her highly personal interpretation of Confucian thought was rapturously received, An edited transcript of the lectures sold 10,000 copies on the day it was published in book form and by September the following year the book had sold 4.2 million legal copies in China and an estimated 6 million pirated ones, remaining at the top of the Chinese bestseller lists today. Simply written, and with a view to taking the wisdom of Confucius out of the hands of the academics and the philosophers and making it accessible to the general reader, Confucius From the Heart gives us a contemporary Confucius, one who can teach us how to attain spiritual happiness, adjust our daily routines and find our place in modern life. Yu Dan argues that his sayings, or Analects - far from being merely interesting quotes from ancient lore, of little use in our hectic, stress-filled world. Instead, they are simple truths that can speak to each and every one of us and help us lead better, happier, calmer lives.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, celebrated heart surgeon and co-founder of the Complementary Care Center at New York's Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, is spearheading the health-care revolution that is yielding powerful new healing tools that will forever change the way we think of medicine. In this ground-breaking book, he describes his pioneering work--combining cutting-edge Western medicine with such Eastern techniques as acupuncture and chi-gong, as well as such controversial therapies as hypnosis, music, massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, and energy healing. The inspiring and affecting stories of his patients are the heart of this book--from the extraordinary discipline of Frank Torre, who used his professional sports training to "psych" himself into healing after heart transplant surgery, to the "impossible" recovery of blues great Johnny Copeland, who was roused from a seemingly impenetrable coma through the force of his own music. In recounting his patients' experiences, Dr. Oz forges a blueprint for the radical new medicine of the next millennium--drawing on the best from Eastern and Western therapies and empowering patients to become partners with doctors in promoting their own recovery.

A collection of poems. Like the facets of a diamond. Each time you read them, a new insight is gained. You soon discover that they are much deeper than they appear. Sometimes the reader is surprised, if not amazed, at the direction a poem may lead them. How does a sea gull inspire a Black man; or a child learning to walk tell us about the profound simplicity of God; or a boy, innocently dribbling his basketball an indication of the universality of people everywhere? These poems have a biblical character about them and are not just to be read, but to be a source of inspiration. Yet the stories they tell are real, and everyone who reads them will be able to identify with the incident or description as real to them.

Death and reincarnation are the two most mysterious of the spiritual mysteries. It is easy to reject the truth behind both of them. After all, when a person dies they stop breathing. The big question becomes: What happens at death? What is its mystery? Does a person cease to exist after their last breath has been taken? Fear of death is what causes us to worship death. We worship death when we put death on a pedestal and pay for expensive funerals, dress the lifeless body in finery, lay the lifeless body in a satin lined casket made of fine wood, lower the casket into the ground and identify the location with an expensive gravestone. Then we walk away, to wait for the event to happen to us. It is easy to believe that we do not live after death, regardless of all that Holy Script teaches, regardless of all that spiritual teachers have taught since the beginning of time. When we see a loved one take their last breath, we witness a fact. There is no hidden meaning. The loved one is gone. We are left with emptiness and, sometimes, unbearable sorrow. There are those who believe only what they can see. Death is the end of life. No amount of reasoning can convince them otherwise.
