USA Today bestselling author Melissa Schroeder returns to her romantic comedy roots with a brand new three book series-Camos and Cupcakes!Allison Bradley has always known what she wanted. At thirteen, I decided to be a nurse. That very same year, I fell in love with Ed Cooper. Sure, I was barely a teenager and he was one of my older brother's buddies from boot camp. I didn't care. I was in love or lust...or something. He consumed my every waking thought. Sadly, fifteen years later, I'm still infatuated and he sees me as a little sister. Baker Ed Cooper has a problem. When she was a teenager, Allison was a sweet nuisance. Now, I want to take a bite of her to see just how sweet. I'm beyond infatuated with her but she's my best friend's little sister. Definitely against the bro code. Every time she comes into our shop-which is just about every freaking day-I lust after her. If her brother knew, he would definitely kill me. One drunken kiss changes everything. The moment Allison's mouth hits mine, I know there's no going back. Just one taste of her turns me into an addict. Even though I know I'm not good enough for her, once I've had her in my bed, I know I'm not giving her up. Warning: This story includes so much sweetness from the strawberry lemonade cupcakes to the sexy giant of a baker you might end up with cavities. There are meddling best friends, an older brother who needs to get his own life, and so much frosting used in inappropriate ways you'll probably die of embarrassment. Or I will. Maybe not. Listen, just buy the book and get ready for sweet, hot, over the top kind of romance that will leave you craving for more than cupcakes. You're welcome.

In the 1880s, the well-connected young Englishman William B. Close and his three brothers, having bought thousands of acres of northwest Iowa prairie, conceived the idea of enticing sons of Britain’s upper classes to pursue the life of the landed gentry on these fertile acres. “Yesterday a wilderness, today an empire”: their bizarre experiment, which created a colony for people “of the better class” who were not in line to inherit land but whose fathers would set them up in farming, flourished in Le Mars, Iowa (and later in Pipestone, Minnesota), with over five hundred youths having a go at farming. In Gentlemen on the Prairie, Curtis Harnack tells the remarkable story of this quite unusual chapter in the settling of the Midwest. Many of these immigrants had no interest in American citizenship but enjoyed or endured the challenging adventure of remaining part of the empire while stranded on the plains. They didn’t mix socially with other Le Mars area residents but enjoyed such sports as horse racing, fox hunts, polo, and an annual derby followed by a glittering grand ball. Their pubs were named the House of Lords, the House of Commons, and Windsor Castle; the Prairie Club was a replica of a London gentlemen’s club, an opera house attracted traveling shows, and their principal hotel was Albion House. In St. George’s Episcopal Church, prayers were offered for the well-being of Queen Victoria. Problems soon surfaced, however, even for these well-heeled aristocrats. The chief problem was farm labor; there was no native population to exploit, and immigrant workers soon bought their own land. Although sisters might visit the colonists and sometimes marry one of them, appropriate female companionship was scarce. The climate was brutal in its extremes, and many colonists soon sold their acres at a profit and moved to countries affiliated with Britain. When the financial depression in the early 1890s lowered land values and made agriculture less profitable, the colony collapsed. Harnack skillfully draws upon the founder’s “Prairie Journal,” company ledgers, and other records to create an engaging, engrossing story of this quixotic pioneering experiment. f

Hang on tight. When it comes to love, this loyal soldier plays rough. “The sexy, alluring bad boys of the True Brothers MC will make your mouth water.”—New York Times bestselling author Heidi McLaughlin Amber: Two years ago I would’ve made a play for a guy like “Bam” in a heartbeat. That was before my father died in a puddle of blood in the middle of a parking lot, before I swore off his fellow bikers and their stupid “business.” But I still need answers about what happened to my dad, which is why I’m poking around at a nightclub owned by the Russian mafia. And that’s where I run into Bam, who carries me out of the club in his ridiculously strong arms like I was True Brothers property. Bam: Motorcycle club princess Amber Bennett is the last person I’d expect to see at a club like Howl. She’s flirting with some dangerous people, and it’s my duty to step in and protect her before she gets in over her head. Like I don’t have enough on my mind without cleaning up Amber’s drama. Besides, she’s the definition of off-limits. If only she weren’t so f***ing hot. And determined to take care of everything herself. And oddly vulnerable. Because when we cross the line, I’m forced to choose between my true family—or my true feelings. Look for all of Gillian Archer’s smoldering True Brothers MC romances: RUTHLESS | REBELLIOUS | RESILIENT | ROUGH RIDE And don’t miss RELUCTANTLY ROYAL, “an entertaining, sexy, opposites-attract romance” (Harlequin Junkie). This ebook includes an excerpt from another Loveswept title. “[Gillian] Archer’s expert characterization [adds] spice. She throws in a well-timed surprise and an emotionally satisfying ending that will leave readers wanting more. It’s easy to cheer for these tough characters and their tender hearts”—Publishers Weekly

Set in Berlin just after the end of World War II, a brilliant thriller about the end of one war and the beginning of another, by the bestselling author of Los Alamos. Berlin, 1945. Jake Geismar, former Berlin correspondent for CBS, has managed to wangle one of the coveted press slots for the Potsdam Conference. His assignment: a series of articles on the American occupation of postwar Berlin. His personal agenda: to find Lena, the German mistress he left behind at the outbreak of the war. When he stumbles on a murder--an American soldier washed up on the shore of the conference grounds--he thinks he has found the key that will unlock his Berlin story. What he finds instead is a larger story of corruption and intrigue reaching deep into the heart of the occupation and a city not only physically but morally devastatated, where children scavenge for food in the rubble, sex can be had for a cigarette, and the black market is the only means of survival. Berlin at zero hour is like nowhere else--a tragedy, and a feverish party after the end of the world. And nothing is simple--not the murder of a soldier and not any of the lives, American and German, that Jake encounters as he tries to solve it. More unsolvable still is the larger crime that hangs over everything in 1945, a crime so huge it seems beyond punishment. At once a murder mystery, a love story, and a riveting portrait of a unique time and place, Jason Kanon's The Good German is a historical thriller of the first rank.

Caden Mitchell has lived a life of near-isolation, his only solace his devotion to the military and his stead as a commander in the Navy Seals. When his best friend, Jonathan, is killed, his commanding officer demands that he seek psychoanalysis before he be recommissioned back into the military. He's disgusted with the idea, but his love for active duty wins out, and eventually he sets up and appointment to see the psychiatrist. The woman whom he sees is Dr. Everly Thomas, a young but distinguished psychiatrist who specializes with patients suffering from PTSD. Beverly herself had been a military brat growing up, and had a brother whom she was very close with die in active duty. At first, Caden and Beverly's similar personalities clash, but eventually, they forge a bond that is stronger than any either of them have known. Everly becomes the key to unlocking Caden's grief, and helping him finally recover after Jonathan's death. But that isn't the only bond they form... ---------------------------------------------------------- EXCERPT FROM BOOK Caden and Everly gazed at each other for several seconds. As if suddenly charged with magnetic impulses, their faces began to pull toward one another until they were connected at the tips of their noses. From there, their mouths slowly moved together, and the circuit was formed. They begin to kiss, earnestly and bashfully at first, each feeling out the movements of the other's mouth, Caden marveling at how Everly's lips felt on his-almost electric-and then, the kisses began to transform into something more intimate. Without warning, Everly pulled away. "I don't usually do this," she said, slowly and perhaps slightly ashamed. "I cannot believe I'm doing this, in fact. This violates just about every principle in the patient-doctor handbook." Caden looked at her with a little smirk on his face. "Hey," he said, "You started it." "Now that is not true!" Everly said, and slapped him playfully. "It was a mutual decision. I just..." Caden searched her face, looking for clues as to what she was going to say next. "I just...As soon as you walked in here-actually, even as soon as you interrupted session with the other patient, I just, I don't know, felt this immense attraction to you." Everly paused and looked at Caden. Caden noted that this was the most vulnerable she'd been since they'd met, less than an hour prior. He nodded. "I felt the same," he said. "As soon as I saw you when I barged in early, I thought to myself, 'Jesus, this is the most beautiful-no, the most powerful woman I've ever seen," he responded. "That's so sweet of you," Everly said, looking down bashfully. "But Jesus, this doesn't change the illegality of whatever the hell we're doing right now." She looked up into Caden's face, perhaps hoping that he'd affirm her reservations, and tell her they had to stop-but, as Caden saw when he looked even deeper into her eyes, she was hoping that he'd say they should throw caution to the wind. And Caden wasn't a man to exercise caution. "Fuck it," he said. "It's both of our jobs to contribute to the betterment of mankind. We lose pieces of ourselves in the process. It's only natural we'd wanna combine those pieces with each other." Where the hell was that coming from? Caden marveled at what he was saying-he was sounding downright poetic. That definitely wasn't like him, but then again, he'd never felt the way he felt right now before. And Everly was obviously impressed, and by God, it looked like she wanted him just as much as he wanted her. "Let's get out of here," AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is a 10,000 words stand-alone story with an HEA, so no cliff-hangers! Story contains mature themes and language, and is intended for 18+ readers only.

Aja James hasn't had it easy. She has kept a close watch over her siblings ever since tragedy robbed them of their parents. Tired of carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders, Aja is ready for a change. Her best friend, Roxie, knows just what to do -- she sets Aja up on a date with one of the most sought after bachelors in town, handsome sportscaster Charles Clayton. Charles is everything Aja has ever dreamed of -- sensitive, sexy, and charming. But "happily ever after" isn't that simple. While Aja has rebounded from the loss of her parents, her sister and brother have not. Jada is lost in a world of silence with no way for Aja to reach her, and Eric's uncontrollable rage is wreaking havoc on his life. As Aja sees her brother heading down the same violent path that destroyed their family, she makes it her business to stop the cycle -- even if it means putting her own life, and her own chance at love, on hold. My Brother's Keeper is a poignant novel about a resilient family learning that sometimes you have to forgive in order to find the strength to move on.
