Good luck in the year ahead. You're all going to need it. Horrorscopes* will tell you everything you need to know about what will happen to you in the year ahead, and we can reveal now, it's not all good news. In fact, none of it is. The moral? Blame it on the planets - let's face it, Saturn's a bastard. This hilarious, tongue-in-cheek and detailed weekly guide to next year is interspersed with celebrity readings - find out what will be the hardest challenge David Cameron will face next year (hint: it involves Game of Thrones) and what embarrassing social faux pas will befall Harry Styles - and is packed full of other fun extras, including when to play and not play Monopoly (not June) and those all-important lottery numbers. There's something for member of all signs of the Zodiac and beyond in this rude, witty and bang-up-to-date handbook which is a must-read if you want to know what will happen to you in the year ahead (just don't set your expectations too high). *Disclaimer: Despite astrology being a 100% accurate science, we cannot be held responsible for any personal action or decisions made using our advice as a guide.

Founded in 1971 by Elizabeth Pepper, the art director of Gourmet magazine for many years, The Witches' Almanac is a witty, literate, and sophisticated publication that appeals to general readers as well as hard-core Wiccans. At one level, it is a pop reference that will fascinate anyone interested in folklore, mythology, and culture, but at another, it is the most sophisticated and wide-ranging annual guide for the Wiccan enthusiast. Modeled after the Old Farmers’ Almanac, it includes information related to the annual Moon Calendar (weather forecasts and horoscopes), as well as legends, rituals, herbal secrets, interviews, mystic incantations, interviews, and many a curious tale of good and evil. Although it is an annual publication, only about 15 percent of the content is specific to the date range of each issue. The theme of Issue 34 (Spring 2015—Spring 2016) is Fire the Transformer, and among our lineup of obscurities is the Krampus, a Wassail recipe, Botanicas, the Restless Dead, Rum, and the Tibetan Dorje.

The financial markets are a reflection of the psychological emotions of traders and investors. These emotions ebb and flow in harmony with the forces of nature. In the early years of the 20th century the most successful traders on Wall Street, including the venerable W.D. Gann and the mysterious Louise McWhirter, recognized the link between the financial markets and psychological emotion. They repeatedly used their knowledge of Astrology to profitably trade the markets at certain key dates when the shifting emotion of market participants would cause price fluctuations and trend changes. This 2016 Financial Astrology Almanac provides the reader with key astrological dates to watch for each month. These dates align to particular astrological occurrences that have been shown time and again to have a high propensity to result in short term trend changes on the Dow Jones Average and the S&P500. These key dates have been determined using exactly the same analytical process that Gann and McWhirter would have used. This Almanac also provides the reader with key dates that align to astrological occurrences which have been shown to have a strong correlation to short term trend changes on selected Commodity Futures contracts.

Paapu, a mischievous boy studying in the seventh standard is having a hard time trying to be a good student at school. He finds it equally hard to be a good little boy at home. The result is a riot of fun and laughter as Paapu and his friends cope with the demands of being well-mannered and well-behaved, when all they want to do is let loose their natural exuberance and curiosity. Together, the friends explore avenues for amusement and mischief in their school and neighbourhood, while their parents and teachers try hard to quiet them down. Paapu has questions in school that are not satisfactorily answered by his teachers. He tries to question his mother’s beliefs only to receive a beating for his troubles. He visits his grandfather’s house and while there, learns that the world is not as simple as he thought it was. Towards the end, as an adult, he comes face to face with the realization that he too is one among the many people in this world, struggling to make sense of life. His illusion that he is different and better compared to other people is shattered when he realizes how he has failed his mother, who had given him everything he had in life. The story ends on a sober note, with Paapu and the narrator reminiscing and commiserating with each other over the misfortunes they have had to face in their lives.
